RVN, Diabetic Pet Adviser
RVN, MBVNA
When I finished school, I did voluntary and part-time work at a veterinary practice and Raystede animal sanctuary. I then passed a Diploma in Animal Care with distinction and top student award before joining the practice in August 2003. I am now a registered veterinary nurse. I have a rescued cat called Holly who was hit by a car at 12 weeks old and was feral, we had to amputate her tail and front left leg and her pelvis had multiple fractures.
I was asked to foster her as she was so scared but after 6 months, I realised she wasn't going anywhere!! I have a real interest in poisons and run a poison page on Facebook called 'Animal Poison Information', you may see me around the town wearing my Poison Girl cape and handing out advice. One of my roles at St. Anne's is to oversee the Facebook page and all things social media. And I'm also the editor for our practice newsletter Anniematters.
