Jessie La Brooy

Veterinary Surgeon

BVetMed PgDipCAB MRCVS

I qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2016. I have lived in East Sussex for most of my life and I worked for two and a half years in small animal practice elsewhere in East Sussex before joining St. Anne's in February 2019. St. Anne's was my family's veterinary practice when I lived in Eastbourne as a child, never did I think I'd end up working here!

I have a particular interest on Small Animal Medicine as well as Canine Behaviour. I completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Animal Behaviour through Edinburgh University in 2023 and use my knowledge to help advise colleagues and clients. Next, I would hope to complete a certificate in Small Animal Medicine as I believe this would greatly benefit the practice. In 2023, I lead the initiative to achieve Silver Status in the ISFM Cat Friendly Practice, so that our clients cats have a better all round veterinary experience!

I live in Eastbourne with my husband Adam, as well as my cat Poppy, Border Collie Berry and Working Cocker Spaniel Wren. In my spare time I like to train the dogs in Agility, and I spend my weekends that I'm not working competing with Wren!
