Hairballs

Rabbits cannot vomit, and so any hair, carpet fibres or indigestible bedding that is consumed can cause an intestinal blockage.

This is a serious condition, but the incidence of it can be greatly reduced by regular exercise, a high fibre diet, regular grooming, and, if deemed necessary by your veterinary surgeon, a hairball preventative, i.e. an oral cat laxative.
